Meet the Camp VeeBee Team
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Ami has experience working with children ages 18-months to young adult and has been a career nanny for over 20 years. Her educational background is in early childhood development. Ami has also developed and taught art classes for children. She has worked as a Birthday Party Princess and has created multiple Birthday Party programs in Southern California, as well. She is very passionate about creating magical experiences for kids and strives to make a positive difference in the lives of children.
Angelique is a junior fashion design major at Kent State University. She is also the co-founder of the online boutique Stay Stylin'. She is the oldest of four children. She has had a lot of experience working with children both virtually and in person. Angelique adores being a virtual sitter for VeeBee because it gives her a chance to give kids a new and exciting experience similar to the ones someone once did for her growing up. She is looking forward to interacting with the VeeBee campers!
Carly is an incoming senior at the University of Maryland, majoring in psychology and minoring in human development. After she graduates, she plans to become an occupational therapist. Carly has worked at many summer camps in the DC metropolitan area. She has extensive babysitting experience, as well and loves working with kids! Carly is excited to meet the campers and interact with them. She cannot wait to start virtual camp!

Cathy has over 25 years of experience working with children in a wide range of capacities. Most recently, she tutored reading in a specialized reading program in person and online. Cathy was a children’s librarian for 12 years in a NY public library. Prior to her becoming a librarian, she was a Music Together teacher and Director of her own center called Music, Movement and Stories,Too. In addition, Cathy has a Masters in early childhood education and has taught pre-k and first grade. She is a patient, compassionate listener and has a great sense of humor. She really enjoys having fun with children and helping them build their self esteem through creative activities.
Deming has been around children her whole life. For five years she assisted dance classes, teaching preschoolers to middle schoolers. She also spent three summers at a sleep away camp, overseeing campers from 1st-4th grade. Not only did she teach them dancing techniques and skills, but she taught them how to be confident in their own skin and embrace who they are. She’s acted professionally for 10 years and has taken many acting technique courses from Meisner to Improv to Acting for Film and many in between. Deming recently graduated with a B.A. in Screenwriting and French from Chapman University and is currently a working actress and filmmaker in Los Angeles.
Nutrition & The Brain
Gabby is excited to join VeeBee and help our campers learn about nutrition and the brain. She has her bachelor's and master's in psychology and currently is a PhD student studying nutritional neuroscience. She has worked with children of all ages for over 10 years including as a babysitter, camp counselor, tutor, and summer teacher. Through Gabby's schooling, she has studied the importance of healthy eating and all of the different aspects that make up a healthy diet. Her course offers a unique exploration into why understanding nutrition and what we are eating is so important for our health and brains. She is excited to teach and discuss the importance of nutrition and healthy living with you!

Imani is a Washington DC native, and a graduate of Rutgers University receiving her BFA in dance. She moved to the New York area shortly after graduation and joined the New York Lizards Dance team from2016 to 2018. While dancing for the Lizard’s she has also appeared on Rachel Dratch’s Late Night Snack with Tru TV and Red Tail’s Pilot for ABC. Imani is a recent graduate of the Professional Semester at Broadway Dance Center, she has always been a well rounded dancer. However, she used this program to expand her network and participate in an intense program to challenge herself to the next level. Upon the completion of her program she signed with CESD talent and is very excited for her journey as a commercial dancer in New York. She is excited to bring her talents to VeeBee!
James is a performing arts and entertainment professional with experience in opera, dance, musical theater, and classical plays. He has a BFA in Theater from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and has worked with performers of all ages across the country. Now James is bringing his experience to VeeBee to help kids understand and get excited about reading and understanding Shakespeare's stories.

Raising Justice: A Guided Exploration Of Race
Jazmin is currently the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Program Manager at Georgetown University. She attended Georgetown, majoring in African-American studies with a minor in Biology. While at Georgetown, she served as Black Student Alliance president and founded the STEAM house for women of color in STEAM fields. Jazmin is looking forward to having courageous conversations with the campers around race, identity and allyship with the help of books. She is excited to share her knowledge, but also is looking forward to learning from each of the campers.

Jennifer has twenty years of experience mentoring kids. In addition, she runs her own nanny service in a resort town and loves little ones. She specializes in fun and magical experiences focused of self-development. She welcomes the opportunity to join Camp VeeBee!

Kamyia is a Senior in High School. She is currently on track to graduate from high school with her associates degree along with her high school diploma. A fun fact about her is that she is a fraternal twin to a boy who is her best friend. Kamyia enjoys baking and creating graphic designs. She also loves to play and watch sports. She is a captain of the volleyball, cheer, and track teams. Dancing is a hidden talent of hers. She is able to catch an 8-count and go with the flow. She is very excited to bring her talents to Camp VeeBee and can't wait to show off her dancing skills!

Kennedy is in her last year of college. Her major is Hospitality Management and she loves being around people. She is the oldest of five and the only girl. Kennedy's favorite things to do are listen to music, hang around family and friends, play sports, and tap into her creativity. When she is older, she would love to have her own business and with that give back to her community and also teachers and charity. Kennedy loves being around kids and has been a babysitter for many years. Also, she was a camp counselor growing up and has many fond memories of the friendships and camp experiences. She is ecstatic about teaching for Camp VeeBee!

He went to Georgetown University where he majored in American Studies and minored in Women and Gender Studies. After graduating from Georgetown, he became a College Persistence Advisor for students in the New York City Area. Luiggy is now bringing his experiences to VeeBee to help kids navigate race and identity through the use of books and conversation.
Michelle loves art, history, and culture. Her favorite thing in the world is sharing what she loves with others! She is a Senior at Liberty University, studying Youth Ministry, Cinematic Arts, and Family and Childhood Development. Michelle has played guitar and has participated in theater for most of her life. She is the middle child of 18 children, so she definitely understands how chaotic things can get! She enjoys interacting with kids of all ages and she can’t wait to meet the Camp VeeBee campers!

Tori V. is a social worker in the Houston, Texas area. During the year she works as a play therapist and a school social worker. Her passion has always been working with and supporting kids in all areas of their lives! In her free time she enjoys baking, riding her bike, reading, and of course being creative. Art is something that helps her destress and think outside of the box. Tori believes every little mind should have the opportunity to be creative in a way that is fun and exciting for them. She is looking forward to meeting many of our world's future artists during Camp VeeBee!
